Resident Artist in Movement and Psychology (2015)
Marika Reisberg is a therapist, teacher, and performer. She holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Hartford’s Hartt School and an MA in Somatic Counseling Psychology, Dance/Movement Therapy, from Naropa University. She is a licensed professional counselor in Colorado and currently works at a psychiatric hospital in the greater Denver area. She has had extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness and has run intensive outpatient programs for the past several years. She has taught a specialized class in group dynamics and skills at Naropa University in the Graduate School of Psychology for the past three years. She was a presenter at the 2015 Body, Mind, Centering, Conference, in Portland, OR. By combining her degrees in acting and psychology she developed a series of workshops/classes to support performers and artists in sustaining creativity and working toward an embodied self.
