Technical Director of MSU Opera Theatre

After a 20 year absence, Mark is thrilled to be back in the state of Michigan where he was born, raised, and ran rampant. Mark has lived, worked, and toured all over the USA; his most recent stop was in Houston, Texas where he was Technical Director for the University of Houston’s School of Theatre & Dance as well as the TD for UH’s Houston Shakespeare Festival. Prior to those hot, sweltering years in the BBQ capital, he worked for the University of Maryland as well as the University of North Carolina / Chapel Hill.  For Mark, it was his time spent in the Big Apple that was the most rewarding. There he free-lanced as Production Manager, Technical Director, Rigger, Welder, and Master Carpenter.  While in NY, Mark co-founded Lankey & Limey Ltd, a production management company that serviced the Off-Broadway and Madison Square Garden theatres. While there he kept busy working with such amazing artists as Edward Albee, Eve Ensler, Frank Gorshin, Tim Curry, and Eric Bogosian to name a few. Many successful productions later, Mark moved uptown to Yonkers to work for Hudson Scenic Studios: Broadway’s #1 provider of all things automated. It was there that Mark worked as head carpenter and on-site supervisor for such contracts as Bloomsburg Television’s new broadcast studios, Production Welder for numerous Vegas shows, and carpenter for any given Broadway show currently living on the shop floor.   Yet, after all of that . . .nothing can compare to his two most successful productions:  his quiet yet inquisitive son: Zackery and his non-stop talkative little princess: Sofia. (And to keep things happy at home – he’d like to thank his loving wife, Tina, for the best support ever).
