summer circle theatre kids camp logo

Summer Circle Theatre provides a FREE summer kids camp to 60 rising 1st – 6th grade mid-Michigan students.

Following Summer Circle Theatre’s 60-year tradition to provide free theatre to the community, the priority of SCT Kids Camp is to make theatre arts accessible to disadvantaged students; financial or otherwise.

Summer Circle Theatre Kids Camp is taught by MSU Department of Theatre faculty, undergraduate students, and graduate students. The camp will include instruction in acting, design, music, and dance.

2021 SCT Kids Camp Canceled

It is with great regret that we are announcing the cancellation of the Summer Circle Theatre Season for 2021. We had to make the call in early April to release the company at the height of the Michigan spike in COVID cases. Recent updates in mask and distancing protocol may have allowed us to present this summer but at the time the call was made for safety and health concerns and University policy.

We are so sorry that we aren’t able to offer professional entertainment that Mid-Michigan audiences have come to expect for sixty years. We will be back next summer with a brand new lineup of shows, activities, and company and look forward to providing free entertainment that you have come to expect. We will be providing free family arts and theatre-based activities for families to enjoy at home from our SCT Kids Camp later in the summer. Until we see each other next year, please support local theatre when it becomes available– it’s been a rough time for all of us in the arts.
