Summer Circle Theatre provides a FREE summer kids camp to 60 rising 1st – 6th grade mid-Michigan students.

Following Summer Circle Theatre’s 60-year tradition to provide free theatre to the community, the priority of SCT Kids Camp is to make theatre arts accessible to disadvantaged students; financial or otherwise.

Summer Circle Theatre Kids Camp is taught by MSU Department of Theatre faculty, undergraduate students, and graduate students. The camp will include instruction in acting, design, music, and dance.

2021 SCT Virtual Kids Camp

Welcome to the 2021 Summer Circle Theatre Virtual Kids Camp!

Last summer you explored being a playwright. This year, you’ll focus on being an ACTOR! Our friend Sharon Combs has created an activity workbook and three videos to help you learn and explore the world of acting.

To get started, simply click on the Summer Circle Theatre (online) Actor’s Workbook cover to download and print the workbook. The instructions in the workbook will direct you on when to watch the videos below.

When you’re finished, we would love to see what you’ve created and share your amazing work with our Department of Theatre friends. If you would like to share documents or videos with us, first have a parent or guardian complete the Guardian Consent Form and Media Release documents below and send them in.

Follow the directions in the workbook to submit your work. The deadline to submit is August 18, 2021, but the workbook and videos will remain free and available for anyone to use for the rest of the summer. Have fun campers!
