About The Playwright
“Pruning the Family Tree” is Daniel Gordons fourth full-length play. The play was a finalist in the 1998 Eugene ONeil Center, National Playwrights Conference. It also won first place in the Heller Theaters 1999 new play com petition. Gordons other works include “Remember Me?!”, “Little White Lies”, and “It Feels Like Monday”. “Remember Me?!” was awarded First Place in the 1998 Oklahoma Community Theater Associations new play contest. “Little White Lies” was Gordons first play and it received its first production at Tiffanys Attic in Kansas City. “It Feels Like Monday” received its first production at the Top Hat and Glove in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Later Goron wrote its screen adaptation. Dan Gordon has also authored a one-act childrens play entitled “Do Teachers Lounge”, for the Oklahoma Allied A arts and Humanities Councils annual “Spotlight” program. Gordon currently lives in Oklahoma with his wife and their three sons.
