Kristy Allen HeadshotMFA Acting Candidate

Hailing from the great state of Texas, Kristy Allen has written, danced, sung and acted in several community works in the Dallas Metro area. For the past 4 ½ years she has been an elementary teacher for the Dallas Independent and Cedar Hill School Districts. During that time, she has written and directed educational and historical-themed plays for children in urban settings. She also served as the youth drama director for several years at Concord Church in Dallas, TX.  

Kristy graduated from Florida A&M University with both Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Master of Business Administration degrees. After working in the Marketing department of a company in Dallas, TX, she returned to school to earn her EC-6 teaching certification from the Texas State Board of Education. 

Her recent theatre credits include; Narrator, Writer and Actor 2 in original works (The Decision), (The Deliverer), (The Dilemma) and Sade in (A Gift of Deliverance). She also recently performed in the “Rising Stars” Amateur Comedy Showcase at the IMPROV in Addison, TX.   Kristy is excited to pursue her dream of creating healing art at Michigan State and beyond.
