Christopher Stowell was born and raised in Watertown, NY. He completed his BA in Theater at Buffalo State College. His design credits while studying in Buffalo include lighting designs for “Recapitulation”, and “Alternative Dimensions”, both of which were dance concerts. His work with sound design include Buffalo State’s productions of “The Shape Of Things”, and “Fuddy Meers”. Christopher designed video support for productions of “Enron” and “Julius Caesar”. He was the set designer for the debut production of “When The Walls Come Down- Truth!” Christopher worked at the Theater of Youth in downtown Buffalo as an electrician throughout his time studying at Buffalo State. Since 2010, Chris has been returning to his hometown each summer to fulfill the role as technical director of Stage Notes. Stage Notes is a non-profit theater company that produces a main stage production each summer. The profit from the production is given back to the community through local charity organizations. He believes this is a great model for the grade school students of Stage Notes to develop their craft while giving back to the community.
