As TD for Costumes, a typical staff includes 8-10 paid undergraduate cutter/drapers and/or stitchers for four -five mainstage productions per academic year as well as managing rentals of costumes to area high schools, colleges and local community and regional theatre companies keep me busy. I helped institute an inventory system of bar-coding costumes, a program created in collaboration with the university computer science department.
Amy teaches courses in costume technology and design, theatrical makeup and of the core courses for the department. She also designs costume or makeup, with other members of the faculty, guest artists, or students, for season productions, most recently including Angels in America: Part I, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and the Threepenny Opera.
She has been Artistic Director for Theatre LHomme Dieu in northern Minnesota and is active in USITT, the United States Institute of Theatre Technology, and KC/ACTF, the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival, organizations.
